Crossroads

Have you ever known exactly what you wanted to do however, had no idea how or where to start? Well that’s where I am right now.

I know I have a calling on my life to help women and young girls find their voices and by God’s grace I have found mine. I have a full time job that I hate and it’s consuming my time. I don’t get the joy I used to with helping my customers because now it’s all about sales. I currently work for one of the largest financial institutions in the world and the industry as with most others have changed drastically. The focus has changed from true customer service to sales and I’m not a sales person, I didn’t sign up for this. I signed up for customer service. Well as they say…it is what it is.

I must stay because my children have become accustomed to eating on a regular basis so I don’t have a choice…OR DO I?! Yes, I do!

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world”—Mahatma Ghandi. I must encourage myself and “man up”. I’m not in the position to quit my job at least not yet but while I’m here, I must make it work for me. I was told in order to move up in the company I had to network which is true for any business. However, my heart isn’t in it anymore and networking to me in this industry is to “hob nob” with the “in crowd” and hope they like me, you know just like in high school. However, when I network in the field of my passion which is Life Purpose Coaching it’s a breeze.

I want to learn more about how I can reach women and young girls on a larger scope. Not just fly by night or haphazardly …but structured and on purpose. Where they are I’m willing to go, what they do, I’m willing to do just so I may be an inspiration. If I can change the life of just one young lady, she in turn can change the lives of millions. My days here at this financial institution are numbered, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel and it’s not a train…its God’s sunshine pouring down on me. I’m not worried because I not only have faith, I have trust in God.
